I found a great article from the Braille Monitor that does a comprehensive overview of most e-book readers and what they offer in terms of accessibility.

The overall goal is to integrate accessibility into the e-reader’s operating system itself. There should be a set of standard requirements for e-readers and mobile devices just like there is for web sites. The tough part is creating a system that provides accessibility for all book formats. Amazon has had a tough time offering text to speech because it is dependent on whether the publisher agrees to enable it.
All e-readers have the potential to make reading much more convenient and portable for the disabled. The library lending program allows patrons to download books from the library in the comfort of their own homes. The font size adjustment feature eliminates the need for lugging heavy large print books around.
